Sun enters Gemini, 21^st May 2023 at 8.09 BST

The Gemini Sun breezes into the room eyes darting right and left,  taking in everything. If it’s visible they will notice it. And then their mind gets to work, making connections, composing punchlines, forming mini-opinions -this is sign is Mutable Air, changeable and detached, an opinion is no big deal. New information will almost certainly come along very soon, so who cares? 

Gemini people are versatile, clever with their hands and quick on their feet. Their ruler, Mercury, is the messenger planet, and this is their role. They aren’t great with routine and are masters at multi-tasking. Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, has Sun and Mercury in Gemini. His tweet ‘This is for everyone. One web’ at the 2012 London Olympic Games perfectly expresses his vision of a connected world. This is the core Gemini ideal; connection and access to information for all. 

Geminis will not be found leading the charge on the battlefield nor stoically defending the homestead. Their job is film it, tweet it, share the moment far and wide. They will hop in a car, on a bike, a pogo stick or any other form of transport – Gemini loves them all – and dash off to spread the news, to report it and write it up. These are the people that keep everyone informed. It’s true that they might be inclined to exaggerate or embellish a little but their tale will be the better for it. Does it really matter? Tomorrow is another story, after all.

Our Gemini friends are sociable, witty – sometimes cuttingly so – and make great dinner party guests. If only you could rely on them to show up. The trouble is, every Gemini is Twins, that is, two people; reliable and unreliable, funny and mean and it just depends which twin they are channelling that day. 

Their dual nature can be as difficult for Geminis to manage as it is for everyone else. This changeability and information overload can make them prone to mood swings. This is an Air sign, remember, so they try to rationalise everything and aren’t always in touch with their emotions. 

Enjoy their company and sense of fun but don’t sit around waiting for them to phone you.
