This is a practical and grounded Full Moon in which the emotions are acknowledged but are bounded and contained by realistic Capricorn. The themes of consolidation and personal contribution are echoed by the positive aspects from Jupiter in earthy Taurus and Saturn bringing a dose of realism to the dreams of Pisces.

Capricorn is about practicality, working hard and looking after the material side of things. It prioritises the roof over our heads and buys the hyacinths for the soul if it has money left over. Cancer, its opposite sign, is about emotional nurturing and ‘looking after’, but they both agree on the hyacinths! It’s not an accident that Elon Musk is a Sun Cancer and Jeff Bezos a Sun Capricorn.

These are sensitive signs, however, concerned with traditional structures and values. Both love things which have a sentimental as well as material value, and like to connect with history and their roots. Both are ambitious and cautious. Like all polarities, there is a sense in which each contains the other within it; material versus emotional. The task is to find the balance between the two.

Capricorn is currently ruled by Saturn in Pisces bringing in the idea of compassion and the sense of trying to implement our desire for unity and oneness in practical ways, perhaps opening up the Cancer ideal of tribe to include the whole of humanity.
