New Moon at at 9h27 UT, 13th November at 20 deg 43’ Scorpio

This is a gnarly and sensitive New Moon in secretive and passionate Scorpio. It’s co-ruled by Mars which sits close by, adding strategic weight and determination. The trio make a flowing aspect to Neptune accentuating compassion and collective ideals. The pro-Palestine marches we have witnessed in the UK this weekend could be seen as a manifestation of this energy.

The New Moon is fixed and unforgiving but there is a fundamental integrity and consistency to Scorpio – within its own frame of reference at least! This is a New Moon which is perhaps questioning your values and commitment encouraging profound reflection. This could mean a deep dive which might be transformative and lead to you making necessary changes which may have been long overdue.

If you have planets or angles at around 20 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) you will be asked to engage with the process of transformation more deeply and it could present challenges.

The New Moon is opposed by Uranus, retrograde in Taurus which is about land, finance and the material world. Uranus is always unpredictable and is poised to throw in a curve ball in at any moment.

Venus is ruling Uranus and she sits strong and balanced in Libra although there’s something compulsive about the niggling aspect between them. Nevertheless, Venus = relationships, values, justice, peace – should have the upper hand.

The New Moon and Mars sit on Chiron in the Israeli National chart, in close opposition to Israel’s Sun, opposed to Uranus in the house of ’the other’. This is highlighting an ancient wound that will, frankly never be healed. In myth, Chiron was freed from his agony by Prometheus (Uranus?), who took his place enabling Chiron the Centaur to die and be released from his agony.

I don’t know how this New Moon cycle will develop, but I do know that we continually act out these ancient myths. And this has a long way to run; Uranus continues to transit the Israeli Sun until 2025. Next April’s Jupiter/Uranus union at 21 deg Taurus will be a major stepping stone in the proceedings.
