Full Moon at 4 deg 51’ Gemini at 9.h16 UT on 27th November 2023.
This is a busy, active Full Moon full of possibilities for connecting with people and ideas.
As always, it’s the culmination of a cycle before the period of shedding begins to make room for the new beginning. And it’s known as the Beaver Moon, so you’re likely to be beavering away as you decide what to let go and what to take with you as you move on to the next phase.
I live in the countryside in southern France and I took this video a couple of nights ago on the river bank that runs alongside our garden. Our resident beaver is preparing for winter and so are we. This means chopping wood and bringing in kindling for fires, raking leaves and stacking away the summer furniture. There’s lots to do.
Fortunately, we don’t have to stock up on food too, but animals do. Living close to nature you notice the seasons turning and the wildlife preparing for the coming winter. They need to be adaptable.
Adaptability is a keynote of this Moon. The Sun/Moon opposition falls across Mutable signs in Fire and Air. It’s sociable – almost frantically so! – and likely to bring stimulating conversation and frank encounters which take you forward into something new.
The Moon is drenched in Sagittarian vision. Even though in Gemini, it’s ruled by Mercury, currently in Sag and it has that restless Sagittarian energy, full of possibilities of ‘what could be’ if we just believe in ourselves and gallop onwards.
The challenge from Saturn in watery Pisces adds emotion and gives a fluid quality to reality, asking us to work out ways we can make our visions and our dreams practical and real.
Every step forward means leaving something behind. We have questions, of course, loads of them, but with the sky on this Full Moon, it may be time to take that leap of faith.
