Sun enters Aquarius   Pluto re-enters Aquarius

At 14h45 UT on 20th January 2024, the Sun and Pluto unite at 29 deg 59’, literally the last minute of Capricorn. With affirmation from an exact flowing trine to a Taurus Moon.

Astrology is all about cycles, and the Pluto cycle is a big one; Sun and Pluto won’t be together again in this sign for more than 200 years.

Expect one last intense push for power and transformation in the realms of land, status, career, finance and organised religion. This is about what we own and aspire to. It’s a deep dive into the underworld, into the realm of our fathers and traditional hierarchies before both Sun and Pluto move into Aquarius.

At 15h09 UT, just 24 minutes of time later, the Sun escapes into the sign of the Water Bearer where it is detached and concerned for humanity, the planet and all living things in a very rational and non-specific way.

The gift of Aquarius is emotional distance and the ability to view things objectively, without getting too involved.

Pluto follows close behind, moving into Aquarius at 01h54 UT on 21st January. These planets are now locked together at 0 deg, the exact degree of the momentous Jupiter/Saturn conjunction on the Winter Solstice in 2020.
