Uranus, our planet of freedom and personal liberty, turns direct at 19 deg 5’ Taurus at 07.35 UT on 27th January 2024

All the planets are now direct until Mercury turns retrograde on 1st April. This is a time for pushing forward and getting things done.

A strong Uranus in your birth chart means going your own way regardless of what others think. It’s rebellious and original but can sometimes lead us to be revolutionary or obtuse for the sake of it. 

Uranus co-rules Aquarius so you’ll feel this change most keenly if you have an Aquarius Sun, Moon or Ascendant, or planets around 19/20 degrees of the Fixed signs – Taurus, Leo, Scorpio. If this is you, it could be time to take stock and look more positively towards the future than you have done since it went retrograde in August 2023. 

Uranus has been ploughing through Taurus since May 2018, shaking up our assumptions around land, food and our material existence. Consequently, nothing seems quite as tangible or secure as it once did. 

Land has been regularly swamped by water or enveloped by fire and large tracts across the world are now being fought over. New ways of producing food have been invented and developed over the last few years while the media has heightened the realities of intensive farming methods. All very disruptive and Uranian. 

All over Europe, farmers are in crisis. Unable to obtain prices for their produce that reflect the cost and effort of production many are feeling deeply depressed, isolated and ignored or used as political pawns by governments who have no idea of the realities of the countryside.

This week, as Uranus stationed on the cusp of the 2nd house of values and security in the French 5th Republic chart, Farmers over the country rose up in protest (Uranus).

Uranus continues through Taurus until July 2025, with the highlight perhaps being its conjunction with Jupiter on 21st April 2024 which should bring unexpected change, opportunity and growth into which ever area of your chart it falls.
