Full Moon in Virgo

Full Moon at 5 deg 23’ Virgo at 12.30 UTC

The bright Moon in Virgo acts as a handle for the bucket of this Full Moon chart, striving to organise the party and to manage the creativity and compassion which are being expressed through the Sun, Mercury and Saturn across the sky in Pisces.

Every Full Moon is the culmination of a cycle and asks us to let go of something. This one is the last Full Moon of the astrological year before we move into Aries/Libra and the season of eclipses. So, it feels like a great opportunity to let something go, to make important decisions or to complete something that has needed both precision and management (Virgo) and creativity and imagination (Pisces).

Jupiter is in the mix in Taurus, substantial and stable, helping the practical Moon keep its head down and hold the line.

On another level, Pisces represents oneness and merging with the ideal so there is an urge towards Neptunian escapism while the Virgo Moon strives to keep us attending to the rituals of daily life.

As with all oppositions, balance is key. How do we integrate the duality of imagination and practicality?

How do we harness the ideas and the creativity and ground them in the real world?

How do we enjoy the party whilst still keeping an eye on the clock and the need to get up again tomorrow?

How do we achieve practical (Virgo) compassion (Pisces) and make it work here on earth (Taurus)? Perhaps by harnessing the planets in Aquarius (Mars/Venus/Pluto) and the humanitarian ideal, the ideal of the global community?

Let’s see how the weekend plays out on both a personal and international level with fingers crossed we let the right things go and achieve that balance.
