Full Moon in Libra

Full Moon at 5 deg 7’ Libra at 07h.00 UT on 25th March 2024,

Partial Lunar Eclipse at 07h13 UT. Eclipse season has begun.

Eclipses come in pairs and these can be linked back to the fateful eclipses of October 2023. We may well have a new chapter unfolding in the stories that began back then.

A Full Moon is essentially an opposition between the Sun and Moon across the sky. The Moon rises in the East as the Sun sets in the west. Oppositions always create tension as the two sides strive for resolution. As the Sun and Moon are involved, we have the symbolism of our conscious Solar energy opposing our more emotional, automatic, unconscious responses.

This one is super charged by the Eclipse which suggests something may be hidden.

In Libra the Moon is concerned about relationships, compromise, contracts, about resolution and peace. It is ruled by Venus in Pisces so compassion and imagination will play their part too.

In Aries the Sun wants to power forward, it is confident and assertive ready to move to the next stage but is being held to account by the Moon. The Sun is ruled by Mars, also in Pisces. Pisces will add emotion and sensitivity to the debate on both sides. Feelings will run high.

Pisces ruler Jupiter is in stable but stubborn Taurus, perhaps showing us that our issues essentially revolve around land, finance and stability – and also, perhaps for others, the body, as Taurus is the most embodied of all signs.

Full Moons are the culmination of the lunar cycle. They are about things reaching a conclusion. Often something must be let go in order to move on.

This one will resonate especially powerfully if you have planets or angles at 4-6 degrees of the Cardinal signs of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. Even if you don’t, it’s worth checking your chart to see which area the Aries/Libra Sun/Moon opposition falls across.
