Our planet of love, beauty and values moves from a blissful and mystical union in the waters of Neptune, to Aries where she makes a powerful aspect to Pluto, Lord of the Underworld. Now she can express herself fearlessly.

Venus/Aphrodite emerged from the Mesopotamian Goddess known as Ishtar (or Inanna to the Babylonians) where she was goddess of love, war and fertility. So, although she is technically ‘in detriment’ in Aries, she is perhaps more at home here than she might initially appear. 

In the birth chart, Venus in Aries knows exactly what she desires and is rarely prepared to wait. She has the fiery passion and directness associated with the sign of the Ram. 

She is strong-willed and able to fight for those she loves and for what she believes in. Her values are honest and direct, without equivocation or dissembling. 

Her anger may flare quickly but it will die down just as rapidly. None of those tedious smouldering grudges for her. She is loyal – if you are – but if you fail her, she might just as easily chop off your head. She’s energetic and fun. Good to have around – if you can keep up with her.

So, as Venus joins the Sun and Mercury in Aries, know that you can fight directly and unapologetically for what you want and what you believe in. You can be strong and a warrior and a woman. Or not, as you choose.
