Sun enters Leo, 08.44 BST, 22nd July 2024

When the Sun moves into Leo on 22nd it immediately opposes Pluto in Aquarius. Here we have the image of the individual struggling to express and fulfil herself against the weight of a powerful society or social group.

Both Leo and Aquarius can be determined and opinionated but there is help from a flexible Gemini Mars and the Moon making a flowing aspect to Jupiter. Discussion is definitely the way forward here.

It’s tempting to think this might represent Kamala Harris who, born on a Full Moon, may have been reborn on yesterday’s Full Moon into a new, powerful incarnation of herself.

Leo takes the stage. Biden, notably, exited with the Sun in the last degree of tribal Cancer. No more stage for him.

Sun in Leo people have presence. Think Barack Obama, Matthew Perry, Madonna, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence… the list of famous Leos is long and impressive. But who are these golden Leos deep down inside? They are often uncertain of themselves and may have an inner fragility.
