Mercury enters Virgo at 23h42 BST on 25th July 2024

Happy Hermes/Mercury wings his way home after overheating in Leo. Now he can display all his best qualities.

He can think about how to be of service, for one thing, how to be useful and practical.

He can manage our affairs and ensure everything is aligned and sorted.

He can discriminate and organise.

He can enjoy his garden and carefully nurture his plants.

He can prepare for all possible eventualities.

He can write concise briefs summarising issues succinctly.

And best of all he can read.

He would read all the books in the library if only libraries were still open.

He reads long books and short books, fact and fiction – although he prefers them when they aren’t too mushy or emotional.

Beware, he can also be hyper-critical, a bit picky and just a little anxious.

He can be self-critical too.

Make constructive use of this helpful energy. And try not to sweat the small stuff.

And by the way, Mercury doesn’t get to stay for long in Virgo this time. On 5th August, he turns retrograde and reenters Leo on 15th to pick up something he’s forgotten. In Leo he thinks mostly about himself and his creativity. Which absolutely has it’s place too.

Just not today.
