Jupiter/Saturn square across Gemini/Pisces at 17deg 27’ at 22h47 BST on 19th August 2024

This week is building to two important astrological events, both happening on 19th August; the Full Moon in Aquarius (more on that in a separate post) and the challenging square between Jupiter and Saturn.

The square aspect had its seed moment on 21st December 2020 when these planets were together at 0 deg Aquarius – just where Pluto is now. In fact, there are lots of connections between the astrology on that day and what is happening in our skies at the moment, suggesting that another chapter in that same story may now be unfolding.

Think back to what was happening in your life back then and see how it links up with where you are today.

The seed moment in Aquarius was about of freedom, independence and ideals and the merging of delay and frustration with opportunity.

You can get what you want with Saturn but you usually have to wait. There is stuff to learn, structures must be put in place before you are able to move forward.

Now, you have perhaps gained that greater wisdom and are ready for the next stage in the journey.

This challenging aspect is across Mutable signs so there is room for manoeuvre and negotiation.

It’s a dance between expansion and restriction. It’s about working out how to make your dreams manifest. Venus is part of the mix so your values and relationships may well be involved and there is always (always!) the challenge of having to let something go in order to move forward.

Maybe the message here – especially with retrograde Mercury ruling Jupiter in Gemini, Venus in Virgo and (one step removed) Saturn too – is don’t sweat the small stuff.

Read the small print but focus on what you really want and aim for that as you juggle options in pursuit of both growth and security.
