Pluto turns direct at 29 degrees 38’ Capricorn on 12th October 2024 at 01h31 BST

Tonight, the Lord of the Underworld is preparing to turn and inch back back through the last 22’ of Capricorn for the final time for around 240 years.

Capricorn is the very fabric of society. It is about the way we live our lives. The things that hold, us, bind us and contain us. Pluto is about power and transformation. That means, irrevocable social change.

On every level, including in our own small lives, Capricorn is about structures, especially old, established structures. These may be buildings, land, or social structures. They may be established ways of living.

Now, after months, possibly years, of preparation, these structures are preparing to evolve, to open up under the spirit of the Aquarian Age and to become containers for new ideas and ways of being.

Think back to the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction at 0 degrees Aquarius on 21st December 2020, or to March 2023 when Pluto first dipped a toe into the sign of the Water Bearer. What was happening in your life around then that may now be reaching a new phase?

This time is a watershed, a time of leaving behind and moving forward differently. And it may not be how we thought. We may have to accept that a phase has been completed, however attached we were to it. We have to let something go and step forward to face a new kind of world with different challenges.

We make plans and the wheel of fortune turns, throwing us curveballs, forcing us to contemplate new possibilities. And slowly, painfully, we learn and we evolve.

So, as Pluto changes course, the pressure is lifted and we begin to see how the way forward is going to be. And we see that there is a way. And, with luck, we are able to step slowly into the void of the future with greater wisdom and understanding.
