Venus enters Sagittarius at 20h28 BST, 17th October 2024

Venus perfects her positive aspect with Pluto and moves into Sagittarius. With this change of sign our values and relationship focus are reignited  in the sign of Mutable Fire; changeable, adaptable and so much less intense.

 In Sagittarius, Venus is concerned with themes of freedom, independence, meaning, faith, learning, travelling and expanding our horizons both physically and mentally.

We’ve come through the crisis (even if it was a quiet one) of the Full Moon and perhaps have moved on from something, got over ‘a hump’ as it were, and we’re still here, feeling slightly confused and unsure of direction, perhaps, but here all the same. 

Venus moving into Sagittarius to help us regain our hope and our faith. She has her eyes on the horizon. She needs to learn and expand.

She’s ruled by Jupiter currently retrograde in the opposing sign of Gemini so there’s a need to balance the big picture with the detail, with the information we have and to work outwards from there. There maybe a certain amount of reflection and experimentation while we decide where we might go and which direction we might unltimately take. The Jupiter retrograde period which lasts until February, is designed to give us that.

So breathe a sign of relief as some of the darkness recedes and the flame is rekindled. This solitary planet in Fire brings the gift of optimism.
