Both these aspects occur around midday (UT) on 9th February 2025.

The Sun/Mercury cazimi is when Mercury is at the heart of the Sun (or within 34’).

This coming together of the Sun and the messenger planet is often a real light bulb moment – a flash of understanding or a breakthrough with something we’ve been working on. This may be especially true in cerebral Aquarius.

The Sun, of course, is our core energy, what makes us alive, and when this unites with our understanding, both are empowered.

Aquarius is about friends, freedom, ideals and futuristic science. Mercury rules communication, thought and business too, so this could speak to breakthrough with a business project, a message from friends, or a new way of organising a group or a community.

This powerful conjunction is challenged by Uranus in Taurus so there may be curve balls coming in from left of field as we try to get to grips with a new situation or try make something happen.

This cazimi occurs at 21 degrees Aquarius so is especially relevant if you have angles or planets around this degree of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo Scorpio, Aquarius).

Pretty much simultaneously, Mars perfects a trine to Saturn across Cancer and Pisces. This Mars/Saturn cycle began on 10th April 2024 at 14 degrees Pisces, so think back, especially if you have planets or angles around 14 degrees of the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces).

If something began in your life then, this could be another chapter in that story.

It’s a helpful aspect but Mars is retrograde so while there could be positive developments around building your dreams and consolidating something concerning property and career or family issues, it’s not quite time to take the big leap forward. This will probably be around 5th April during the final waxing trine aspect.
