Sun enters Pisces 10h07 UT 18th February 2025

Today our core energy the Sun, joins the Messenger planet, Mercury, in Pisces, and Pisces season properly begins.

Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac where the individual merges into the universal whole. It sits opposite the supremely practical and analytical sign of Virgo. 

Pisces is the chaos to Virgo’s order, the spirit to Virgo’s body. The challenge is to unite the two along this ‘axis of service’.  Spiritual service is complicated without the physical vessel of the body to serve through. Practical service means little without the spirit of love and sacrifice contained in Pisces.

Pisces is jointly ruled by Jupiter – growth and faith, and Neptune – spiritual dissolution. This is an imaginative, compassionate and dreamy sign, prone to viewing the world through rose coloured spectacles. 

Pisces are adaptable and can be shape-shifters, hard to grasp or hold, as they morph into whatever the situation requires. They are highly sensitive, attuned to the unseen currents of the universe. Less tuned into noticing what is happening in their everyday lives. Sometimes they sacrifice themselves for others.

Pisces can also be cold – a cold fish is entirely possible (this isn’t a fire sign after all) – especially if it doesn’t feel needed. And weirdly impersonal, being more concerned with the universe as a whole, as it were, than the individual.

Pisces moves with the waves, is usually hopeful, and is a sign that related on a soul level. It’s connected to everything.

The Sun, moving into Pisces means we now have a stellium of Sun, Mercury, Saturn, Neptune and North Node in this sign of compassion, sacrifice and sensitivity, so if you’re feeling emotional and even perhaps a bit tearful at times, you can blame it on this. 

The complicated world situation and the human suffering we are witnessing, most of us through the medium of computers and television, may lead those of us who are tuned into the water signs to feel this very strongly. Imagination and empathy are both a gift and a curse. 

Pisces knows that what affects one, affects us all. We live in one universe.
