Taurus Full Moon: a turning point?

This Full Moon, exalted, stable and powerful in Taurus speaks of our deep need for security and continuity and whilst the Sun across the sky in Scorpio tells of our equal and opposite drive for change and transformation.

There are shifts in this November sky that suggest movement and change. On 4th November, Mars moves from a position of strength and fixity in emotionally invested Scorpio, into fiery Sagittarius, where he is visionary, adventurous and occasionally reckless. In Sag, Mars is immediately challenged by Uranus on the point of leaving Gemini and returning to Taurus.

With Mercury in Scorpio, we frowned thoughtfully as we ran the numbers or calculated the emotional cost. With Mercury in Sagittarius, we are more inclined to see the bigger picture, to ‘go for it’ and work it out as we go along.

So, perhaps we make a decision to go into battle or set off on a journey on 4th November. And then, on 5th November, the Full Moon spotlights the necessary changes, the inevitable sacrifices, the potentially difficult transformation, that this journey requires.

To move on, we must always let something go. This could be a cherished idea or something more solid. The Moon is in Taurus so it might be around themes of physical security and our comfort zones, finance, or perhaps our physical bodies. There is risk. It’s a gamble. Mars and Uranus show us this.

However, balancing the Taurus/Scorpio axis of transformation and exchange is possible. We could, in the end, make the changes, allow ourselves to be changed, whilst holding on to ‘enough’ of whatever is that we have and are so attached to, keeping something of our security, even if we don’t get everything.

We could take the risk and work through it all as best we can. Stagnation is rarely the best option, or even a real option. And Uranus on the brink of moving back into Taurus for the last time in its 82 year orbit, suggests that this may be our last – or only – real chance.

There are indications it may work out well. The first aspect the Moon makes as it leaves the Sun is a positive aspect to helpful Jupiter. But there is still work to be done, much checking and rethinking as both Mercury and Jupiter are soon to turn retrograde and trek back over old ground, making sure things are solid.

Saturn turns direct at the end of the month, preparing to complete its journey in Pisces for this cycle, which again, suggests a chapter is concluding.

Uranus returns briefly to Taurus to conclude its business around themes of land, finances, food security issues, our physical bodies.

It’s very probable that the story doesn’t end here. A couple of dates to look out for are 20th February 2026 when Saturn and Neptune begin their new cycle at 0° Aries, and 11th March 2026, when Jupiter turns direct at 15° deg Cancer. There are others too… keep watching this space.

If you have personal planets or angles around 13°-14° of the Fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius this Full Moon will be especially significant for you.

And if you have planets of angles around 0° Gemini or Sagittarius then this may also be especially important.

I have stepped outside my comfort zone enough to know that, yes, the world does fall apart, but not in the way that you fear.” Tan Le
