Full Moon at 13 degrees 3′ Gemini, 23:14 UT, 4th December 2025
This Full Moon in Gemini may be more complicated than it first appears.
Gemini is a busy, sociable, friendly and adaptable sign which operates through thinking analysing and making connections; connections between people, between facts, between everything in fact. And it’s fitting that it’s ruled by Mercury, the God that can travel all the worlds.
Gemini may seem straight-forward but things that Mercury touches are never quite as they appear. Gemini is changeable, shifting position or allegiance when something new comes up or a situation alters. Gemini-truth is multi-faceted and often depends on what and who you know.
So, mental energy is high with this Full Moon. And stress levels may be high too. Gemini can be overwhelmed with detail which may sometimes lead to mental health issues. So, look out for others around this time and in the days that follow.
Across the sky in Sagittarius, the Sun is aiming for the bigger picture, the grand truth that lies behind it all. The Sagittarius Sun is in pursuit of that arrow of clarity that will cut through the dross and reveal the meaning. It seeks something to believe in
And in the middle is a question. The question of what is right? How are we to proceed? How can we hold on to the bigger vision when the detail and the everyday are so busy and overwhelming?
This Sun/Moon opposition crosses the lunar nodes – suggesting something about our path in life may be at stake here. What we do and what we decide at this juncture could have implications which reach fingers to the future.
Currently – and for another year – the Nodes are in Virgo (South Node) and Pisces (North Node) with their themes of practical and spiritual service. There is the sense of trying to manage something, then, with this Full Moon, of finding practical informed solutions which rely on detail and information, to deal with situations which ultimately may be wider and bigger than we know.
Information is key. But so is faith.
All this could lead to heightened stress levels as we wait to see which way things will pan out. These Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) are ultra-adaptable so we may be holding ourselves ready to swing, to act, to decide, when the picture is clearer.
Remember to breathe. Gemini is an Air sign, and all about the breath…
This is a Mercury/Jupiter story; Zeus (Jupiter) and Hermes (Mercury) his son and messenger. It is about people and about faith. About family and about digging deep to find answers.
A Full Moon is always a watershed on some level, the culmination of the lunar cycle. This one comes with the promise of Mercury bringing Jupiter and Saturn together (expansion and structure) across the Water signs over the 5th & 6th December, suggesting, perhaps, time spent with friends, siblings, loved ones. Or it may signify news about something we’ve been hoping for.
It is followed on Monday 8th by a more difficult Mars/Saturn square across Sagittarius and Pisces, both ruled by Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter will give some background understanding and coherence to the challenges we may be facing.
This all returns us as we have so often returned this year, to the Cancerian themes of family and belonging, and the challenges that emotional ties must inevitably bring.
Confusion or indecision may be part of what follows later in the week (14th December) with the Mars/Neptune challenge. We may feel we want to act but the direction is uncertain. It’s important we take our time here. We’ll be feeling much more in control when Mars crosses to Capricorn on 15th December.
The second half of December starts to bring everything together ready for the new beginnings promised by the Saturn/Neptune square in February 2026.
And, by the way, more prosaically; this lunation may also be about travelling physically as well as mentally. Do we stay or go? There is tension inherent in the choice.
The Full Moon will be more impactful for those who have planets or angles around 13 degrees of the Mutable signs with Mercury, Mars and Saturn being most impactful around 25 degrees.
