Full Moon at 12°21’ Libra 03h12 BST, 2nd April 2026
In our journey through the Zodiac, Libra is the 7th house, the place where we meet ‘the other’, the sign of relationship. This is where we find ourselves mirrored for the first time. Where we ask, not just ‘Who am I?’ But ‘Who am I in relation to you?’
Libra is a sociable sign that approaches things intellectually, seeking, fairness, justice and balance. By extension, it’s also about contracts and agreements (including marriage), accords between people or groups. Ultimately, Libra seeks peace.
Full Moons are oppositions between the luminaries. When the Moon is in Libra, the Sun is directly across the sky in Aries. This is known as the axis of relationship. Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac is about our goals and our personal direction. So, with this Libra Full Moon, we are seeking balance between what we want as individuals and the compromises we must make in the interests of our relationships.
And there is opportunity for fluid communication; Mercury is perfecting its flowing aspect to Jupiter in Cancer. This could be an emotional discussion centred around family, tribe, our sense of belonging and our desire to nurture. It’s about where and how we find growth and meaning in our lives and what speaks to us spiritually and emotionally.
The Full Moon is ruled by Venus, newly in Taurus where she is in rulership. In Taurus, Venus is powerful, resourceful, patient, enduring and strong.
Venus is about our values and resources, what we love and desire, our self-worth. She also symbolises the feminine power that lies within us all. Taurus, supremely stable and rooted in the material plane, is about our physical bodies and the world around us. It also speaks of security and finances. Taurus preserves and maintains and can be reluctant to let go.
Venus in Taurus behind this Full Moon is about our attachments. It may be time to let go or release something and accept that it’s time to move on, however much we want it. This could be a physical thing, an idea, or a vision of who we are that no longer serves us – something that we have been clinging to.
Venus is moving towards a challenging aspect with Pluto. This could suggest an external power struggle, a struggle within our relationships, or a struggle within ourselves to come to terms with a new reality, either physical or material.
We may be questioning our self-worth at this time and may need to dig down deep to find the very real, spiritual value that lies inside us all.
We may need to dig deep to remind ourselves of the value of our relationships and what they mean to us.
This is a Full Moon that asks questions and reminds us that we are not just one thing; if something is not possible then Libra shows us there are other options. This may well be an emotional time, but the sign of the Scales offers the possibility of detachment and clarity of thought.
A decision may be called for around this Full Moon, something that is not easy, but which will take us into a new phase of understanding about ourselves and our relationships, and within its beam of moonlight, we may begin to see the path forward.
