15th April 2026, Mercury enters Aries

This might not sound like such a big deal. It’s an annual event, after all. But this year Mercury is the last of the planets to leave Pisces and begin the new cycle of the Zodiac.

Mercury should not be underestimated.

Mercury/Hermes is the messenger of Zeus and the only god who can walk all the worlds.

He is versatile, flexible and he enables us to communicate – that is, to be human.

So for many this may well signifiy the true ‘new beginning’. This is where we put what we have been thinking, planning and dreaming into words and documents. This is where it comes out into the world.

It’s a change of attitude. A new vibe.

Mercury in Aries sometimes understands through flashes of intuition. This isn’t the feeling-led understanding of Mercury in Pisces, but something more immediate and direct.

So, for some of us, the new journey the skies have been promising us all, may actually begin here.

This could be especially true for those with Sun or Ascendant in Mercury-ruled Gemini or Virgo.

For Gemini and Virgo Mercury’s extended bath in Pisces may have felt very much like drowning. These signs prefer clarity, solutions and information. With Mercury in Pisces nothing was very clear.

Mercury in Aries is when we…

…ask the questions

…have the conversations

…apply for the jobs

…write the emails

…begin the books

…make the decisions

It’s a time for speaking out, saying what we’ve been thinking and feeling more certain about direction.

But… know that Mercury in Aries can be brutally honest and probably won’t consider the feelings of others.

So before doing all of the above, just pause briefly and take a breath.

Make sure it’s really what you want to say. Once it’s out there, there’s no taking it back.
